Restore the coasts of Mozambique!

Forests play an essential role in protecting the health of coastal communities, which provide a steady source of income and are vital to tackle poverty in Mozambique. Our objective is to rehabilitate the coastal area by stabilising the soil against erosion and prevent further forest degradation. In order to sustain healthy aquatic ecosystems, we focus on planting native mangrove species including white, grey and spurred mangroves. Mangroves are known for improving the water quality, capturing carbon and restoring nutrient levels in soils on land and below water.
