Ethiopia is Africa's oldest independent country, known for its semi-arid climates, which have little to no rainfall during most seasons. Climate change has been accelerating the process of desertification in these areas. Our main objective is to restore water retention and nutrient levels in soils. Rural villagers also benefit from the projects, providing them with opportunities for subsistence farming and income. The fruit trees planted in Ethiopia, such as lemon trees, also help rehabilitate certain species like bees. As a result, beekeeping has become a further source of income for locals.
