Combat climate change in Guinea! 

Guinean woodlands have been deeply affected by commercial activities such as logging for timber and firewood. One way to tackle this issue is by regenerating degraded forests. Our local partner is focusing on planting agroforestry trees such as mango, avocado and lemon trees. They also aim to restore aquatic ecosystems by planting mangroves along the coastline. The trees planted in this tropical region absorb immense amounts of carbon in their lifetime and help combat climate change through this process of carbon sequestration.
